Titiminas Silver begins key drilling at Madre Sierra to advance project in Junín
Titiminas Silver initiated a new exploration campaign on its polymetallic project Mother Mountain, located in the province of Jauja, region Junin, with the aim of accelerating the evaluation of the deposit's mineral potential and moving towards a future resource estimation.
The company has launched a drilling program that will combine underground and surface diamond drilling, as part of a strategy aimed at collecting geological information to more accurately define the size and continuity of the mineralized zones identified in recent years.
The campaign includes over 19,000 meters of drilling distributed across different project areas. The work will focus on the sectors Mother Mountain, Mother of the Northern Mountains y CRD Titiminas, considered by the company as the main exploration targets within the mineralized corridor.
According to Luis Goyzueta, president and chief executive officer of Titiminas Silver, the program constitutes an important step for the future development of the asset. “The programs are designed to provide a first estimate of resources and firmly guide us toward a final investment decision by the end of 2027. We have the right contractor, the right community relations, and a multi-target mineral system,” he noted.
The company expects the results obtained will allow for a preliminary estimation of mineral resources under the Canadian NI 43-101 standard, a process planned between the second and third quarters of 2027.
One of the main objectives of the campaign will be to deepen the geological knowledge of a mineralized belt approximately five kilometers long, where previous studies and exploration work have identified the presence of silver and other metals with economic potential.
The commencement of work follows a series of advancements recorded over recent months in Mother Mountain. In May, the company reported the identification of new mineralized areas with silver, lead, and zinc, expanding the exploratory potential of the project.
Among the highlighted sectors is Titiminas CRD, where the company confirmed the continuity of mineralization and the existence of more than one kilometer of historical underground workings. Likewise, the sampling results obtained in Mother of the Northern Mountains reinforced the company's interest in continuing to explore this area, which is now part of the main objectives of the ongoing campaign.
The project also underwent recent changes in its corporate structure. At the beginning of this year, Titiminas Silver transferred the mining concessions of Mother Mountain to its subsidiary Madre Sierra Metals Peru, measure aimed at facilitating future financing alternatives, strategic alliances, and the development of new exploration and growth stages.
With this new drilling phase, the mining company seeks to generate the necessary information to define the true scope of the mineralized system and lay the groundwork for a potential investment decision in the coming years.
