The Camisea Consortium, operated by Pluspetrol, began the delivery of school supply packages to students in the Megantoni district, in the province of La Convención.

The initiative directly benefits 2,817 students from 35 public educational institutions at the preschool, primary, and secondary levels, located in 14 native communities in the area. Each student will receive a backpack equipped with essential school supplies, while their educational institutions will be provided with office supplies to strengthen their administrative and pedagogical work.

The distribution has begun in the community of Kirigueti and its annexes. It will continue progressively in the localities of Camisea, Cashiriari, Segakiato, Shivankoreni, Ticumpinía, Shintorini, Nuevo Mundo and its annexes, Santa Rosa de Serjali, Marankeato, Montetoni, and Sagondoari.

With this action, the Camisea Consortium reaffirms its role as a strategic ally for local development, promoting education as a key pillar for creating greater opportunities for the children and youth of the Bajo Urubamba.

This effort is in addition to the university scholarship program that the Consortium has had for over 10 years, aimed at supporting young university students from the Bajo Urubamba so they can continue their higher education at the Universidad Católica Sede Sapientiae – UCSS, Ucayali campus.

School supplies were also recently distributed to more than 17,000 primary and secondary school students in the province of Pisco in Ica. These actions are part of Camisea's commitment to promote education in the areas influenced by its operations.
