MINEM will call for rural electrification projects worth over S/ 1,159 million in 2026

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), through the General Directorate of Rural Electrification (DGER), plans to launch, in the course of 2026, a strategic set of rural electrification projects aimed at reducing energy access gaps in rural and hard-to-reach areas of the country, thereby improving family quality of life.
Southern Peru receives approval to extend Tía María electricity project until 2027

Southern Peru Copper Corporation obtained approval from the Ministry of Energy and Mines to modify the Tía María transmission line concession, extending its term until December 22, 2027, after fulfilling legal requirements and presenting a work execution schedule.
