Domestic electricity generation from renewable energy sources increased by 27% compared to October 2024

Domestic electricity generation from non-conventional renewable energy sources (RES) (solar, wind, bagasse, and biogas), had accumulated a total production of 729 gigawatt-hours (GWh) by the end of October 2025, representing an increase of 271% compared to the figure recorded during the same period in 2024, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM).
