Nexa powers education by delivering over 12,000 school kits in its areas of influence.
As part of its commitment to educational development, Nexa conducted the school campaign “Let's Go to School with Nexa,” an initiative aimed at promoting and strengthening quality education in its areas of influence by providing schoolchildren with supplies to support their learning throughout the school year.
Throughout the month of April, the mining company made various deliveries to educational institutions in the areas of influence where it operates and exploration projects, creating opportunities for engagement with students, teachers, principals, and community representatives.
“These actions allow us to coordinate with local authorities and educational institutions to build trusting relationships with our neighboring communities together, understanding their needs and contributing to initiatives that generate value for families and local development,” he added. In total, 12,733 students received their school kits, consisting of backpacks, pencil cases, and school supplies. The initiative garnered the commitment of key players such as educational authorities, local institutions, community boards, and volunteer collaborators from the mining company itself.
Under the message “Learning today is growing tomorrow,” the campaign sought to motivate students to continue investing in their education as a key tool for building new opportunities.
During the delivery days, Nexa's teams shared messages focused on valuing education, effort, and the importance of lifelong learning. Likewise, the interaction with students, teachers, and principals allowed them to strengthen ties with the communities and reaffirm the mining company's presence as a stakeholder committed to their development.
