Pluspetrol receives the ANIQUEM Yanapay Award for its contribution to child health through recycling
Pluspetrol, operator of the Camisea Consortium, was recognized by the Association for the Aid of Burned Children (ANIQUEM) with the Yanapay Award 2026, in two categories, due to its high commitment to the institution's social work.
In the 11th edition of the award, the company took first place in the category “Empowering Recycling Value”, which distinguishes it by promoting waste valorization, strengthening the recycling chain, and fostering sustainable practices.
The company was also recognized in the category “Social transformation”, which recognizes organizations that turn their sustainable initiatives into concrete improvements in the quality of life of vulnerable populations, especially in the comprehensive rehabilitation of children and adolescents who are burn survivors.
In 2025, Pluspetrol was the company that contributed the most to ANIQUEM, by delivering 1,055 tons of recyclable material from its operations. With this result, it led the list of 586 allied companies of this institution for the second consecutive year and consolidated its fourth year of Yanapay recognitions.
The resources generated from recycled material donated by Pluspetrol were allocated to finance medical treatments, rehabilitation therapies, and comprehensive care for children and adolescents with burns.
Support for child health in Cusco
Pluspetrol also supported the surgical campaign “Healing together, carried out in 2025 at the Regional Hospital of Cusco, where ANIQUEM evaluated 55 patients and performed 68 reconstructive surgeries on 30 children and adolescents, with the participation of a specialized medical team.
This support also included the comprehensive rehabilitation of 43 patients from different regions of the country, who received physical, occupational, and psychological therapies for one year, as well as specialized garments for their recovery.
Recycling with environmental, social, and economic impact
Through its participation in the “Recycle to Help” initiative, Pluspetrol has generated a triple impact by converting recyclable material from its operations in Cusco and Pisco into a source of funding for the rehabilitation of children and adolescents treated free of charge by ANIQUEM.
With these actions, Pluspetrol reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, the circular economy, and the generation of social value in the communities where it operates.
