Orygen led national solar and wind production in 2025

Orygen, a leader in renewable energy generation in Peru, presented its Integrated Annual Report 2025, a document detailing a year of profound transformation and operational consolidation.

In 2025, Orygen generated a total of 10 TWh of energy, representing a market share of 16.3%. In the non-conventional renewables segment, the company generated 1,827.33 GWh, or 30% of all solar and wind energy produced in the country, consolidating its leadership in this field.

The first hybrid complex in Peru

One of the most notable achievements in 2025 was the commencement of construction for Wayra Solar (94.22 MW). This project will be integrated with Wayra I and Wayra Extension to form Peru's first hybrid wind-solar complex, with an installed capacity exceeding 400 MW. This infrastructure optimizes the use of natural resources and the existing grid, enabling more stable generation and preventing the emission of over 44,000 tons of CO₂ annually.

Technological autonomy

As part of its shareholder changes, Orygen completed its transition to technological autonomy in May 2025. This process involved the execution of 40 IT projects and the implementation of 18 key systems, achieving its own secure platform after training over 300 employees.

Excellence and sustainability recognized

In environmental matters, Orygen took a step forward by incorporating the measurement of Scope 3 emissions into its carbon footprint for the first time, earning the First Star in the "Huella de Carbono Perú" program of the Ministry of Environment. Additionally, the company was recognized in the 2025 Sustainable Development Award in the categories of Social Management, Innovation and Technology, and Occupational Safety and Health.
