As part of the fight against illegal mining, the Peruvian National Police (PNP), through the Directorate of Environment, carried out the operation “Cruz de Motupe 2025” on August 15th in the La Esperanza Mining Industrial Park and in the Sol Naciente Human Settlement, in the province of Trujillo (La Libertad), where assets used in this illicit activity valued at 49.5 million soles were seized.
