The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) noted that the departments of Moquegua, Arequipa, Apurímac, and Ica accounted for 48.41% of national mining investment in the first eight months of 2025, a result that reaffirms their role as strategic hubs for mining development and regional economic growth.
