The National Environmental Certification Service for Sustainable Investments (Senace) granted conformity to the First Sustaining Technical Report (ITS) for the Modification of the Environmental Study of the Matriz project, submitted by Minera Shouxin Peru S.A., an operation located in the province of Nazca, Ica region.

The approval was formalized through Directorate Resolution No. 00083-2026-SENACE-PE/DEAR, a document that authorizes the implementation of technological improvements in the project's processing plant, after successfully completing the corresponding technical and environmental evaluation process.

According to the entity, the proposal submitted by the company met the technical, environmental, and regulatory criteria established in current legislation, allowing progress to be made with modifications aimed at optimizing the operational processes of the mining unit.

As part of the evaluation, Senace determined that the activities contemplated in the ITS will generate non-significant environmental impacts. Likewise, it verified that the project incorporates environmental management measures aimed at preventing, controlling, and mitigating the possible effects derived from the execution of the proposed improvements.

These measures are aligned with the environmental commitments previously assumed by the company in the environmental management instruments approved for the operation, ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements applicable to the project.

The compliance obtained will allow Minera Shouxin to advance in the incorporation of new technological solutions within its processing plant, strengthening operational efficiency and optimizing its facilities in Nazca.

The Sustaining Technical Report is an environmental management tool that allows for the evaluation and approval of modifications, expansions, or technological improvements in investment projects when these generate non-significant environmental impacts. Its application aims to ensure that such changes are developed in accordance with current environmental regulations and under appropriate control and monitoring mechanisms.

With this approval, the Matriz project continues to advance in the modernization of its processes, maintaining compliance with the environmental standards required for the development of mining activities in the country.
