”Engineering and Governance" is the motto of the 2026 National Engineering Week, with which the College of Engineers of Peru and the Departmental Council of Lima (CIP Lima) celebrate another institutional anniversary as the main reference points for Peruvian engineering and strategic allies in the construction of a more modern, competitive, and sustainable country.

In line with the purpose of National Engineering Week 2026, a multidisciplinary technical report will be delivered to the presidential candidate who wins the runoff election on June 7th. The document brings together specialized proposals and recommendations in energy, infrastructure, transportation, water management, digital transformation, among other strategic axes, with the objective of contributing, from the field of engineering, to the strengthening of governance and the sustainable development of the country.

Within this framework, the I National Engineering Convention – CONI PERU 2026 will also be held. This will be a high-level academic and technical space that will bring together more than 200 representatives from the public, private, and academic sectors. The program will include keynote lectures, technical roundtables, and specialized forums focused on analyzing the country's main challenges. Additionally, CONI 2026 will feature a technology fair and the I Engineering Innovation Competition.

Throughout National Engineering Week 2026, 16 technical visits to public and private entities have also been scheduled. These entities stand out for their modern operational processes, technological innovation, and high management standards, allowing registered engineers to learn about successful experiences in innovation, production, and management.

Music, art, and awards

The institutional agenda will also include art, culture, and integration activities, with performances by musician and interpreter Diosdado Gaitán Castro, along with the band Son del Sol; the acclaimed soprano Hatun Killa; and the string ensemble Núcleo Lima Oeste. Likewise, a gathering of university tunas will take place, as well as the grand finale of the “Engineering with Talent” contest.

Another of the highlighted activities will be Expo Art 2026: “Retrospective of Peruvian Arts,” an exhibition that will bring together paintings and sculptures by renowned artists who marked the history of plastic arts in Peru, including José Sabogal, Víctor Humareda, Gerardo Chávez, José Tola, and Víctor Delfín.

Similarly, recognition activities have been planned for lifetime members, military engineers, and firefighters, as well as tributes to leaders in national engineering. The institutional week will also include the traditional flag-raising ceremony, the parade of professional chapters, and the Great Engineer's Party.
