Raimundo Flores takes over as director of the Master's in Mining Management at EPGUTP

The Graduate School of the Technological University of Peru (EPGUTP) announced the appointment of Raimundo Flores Cárdenas as director of the new Master's in Mining Management, a program that will be offered in person in Arequipa and virtually nationwide.

Flores Cárdenas has over 20 years of experience leading multisectoral operations and projects in Latin America. He currently serves as General Manager at HLC Ingeniería y Construcción and previously worked as Area Manager – Infrastructure Plant at Minera Las Bambas, where he managed operations in one of the country's main mining assets.

His career includes executive positions at companies such as COSAPI, a leading Peruvian engineering and construction firm with operations in Latin America, and Sigdo Koppers ICSK, a Chilean company specializing in assembly and services for the mining and energy sectors in the region. In these organizations, he led business units, international expansion, and large-scale project execution.

Throughout your career, you have participated in the development of mining projects from early stages to execution, in addition to leading multidisciplinary teams and managing operations in various markets in the region.

Regarding his academic background, he holds a Master's degree in Management Control from European Open Business School (Spain), an MBA from Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain), and is a mechanical civil engineer from the University of Chile.

With this appointment, the EPGUTP seeks to further consolidate an academic proposal aligned with the current needs of the mining industry, incorporating management, analysis, and leadership tools to face the sector's challenges.
